Will a heat pump really keep me warm in a Canadian winter?
Absolutely. While older heat pumps struggled in the cold, modern cold-climate heat pumps (like our Mitsubishi and Bosch models) are engineered to provide 100% heating capacity down to -15°C and operate flawlessly even at -30°C. We can also install a dual-fuel (hybrid) system that pairs a heat pump with a gas furnace for ultimate peace of mind.
Should I repair my old furnace or replace it?
A good rule of thumb is the "5,000 rule." Multiply the age of your furnace by the cost of the repair. If the total is more than $5,000, it is usually more cost-effective to replace it. Additionally, if your furnace is over 15 years old, upgrading to a modern high-efficiency model will drastically reduce your monthly gas bills.
